What socks should i wear with steel toe combat boots with?

I have tired them with socks clear and I got the blisters on my heels. What kind of socks it suggested they carry? I was thinking to use them with thick socks and jeans to pull over the heel for better protection dall'attrito with steel.

    Socks and come up higher above your ankle you can get some at walmart that arent bad.
